User Guide - Scanapp

With the scanapp, you can quickly and easily order products directly from your store. The app works on all devices (laptop, tablet, iPad, mobile). Below are the steps to scan and complete your order.

1 Login

  1. Log in to the webshop using your account credentials.
  2. On Desktop or Tablet: Click the Scan icon in the menu to open the scanning feature.
  3. On Mobile: Go to the User menu and select "Scan products".

Scanning Options

You have two ways to scan barcodes:

Option A - Using a Mobile Device (Camera)

  1. Grant the website permission to use your camera.
  2. Point the camera at the product's barcode.
  3. A yellow frame will appear on the screen; ensure the barcode is positioned within this frame.
  4. Upon a successful scan, you will hear a beep and the product will appear in your overview.
  5. You can now adjust the quantity or remove the item if it was scanned by mistake.

Option B - Using an External Barcode Scanner

  1. Connect the barcode scanner to your device (USB) or pair via Bluetooth with your laptop, tablet, or mobile.
  2. In the webshop, navigate to the field Enter your barcode manually.
  3. Scan the barcode with your scanner. You will hear a beep and the product will appear in the overview.
  4. Adjust the quantity or remove the item if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

My camera is not working - what should I do?

  • Check if your browser has permission to access the camera.
  • Try reloading the page and grant permission again when prompted.
  • On iOS/Android: check your device settings to ensure the browser has camera access.

The scanner is not submitting data - what can I do?

  • Verify that the scanner is properly connected (USB or Bluetooth) and turned on.
  • Make sure the cursor is active inside the input field Enter your barcode manually before scanning.
  • Check if the scanner is configured to the correct keyboard or HID profile.

No beep sound occurs when scanning

The beep is an audio notification from either the scanner or the browser. If you don't hear any sound, check your device volume or the scanner's internal settings.

Tips for Fast and Reliable Scanning

  • Ensure adequate lighting when scanning with a mobile camera.
  • Hold the camera steady and align the barcode completely within the frame.
  • Use an external scanner whenever possible for increased speed with high-volume orders.
  • Always quickly review your shopping cart before checking out to prevent mistakes.
